Spirit of Songahm: Honor

The Songahm oath requires having honor with others. By having honor with others, we promise to conduct ourselves in a manner that is of good moral and ethical character, respecting the reputations of ourselves, our family, our dojang, and of others we encounter. Living honorably means constantly striving to do the right thing. In our lives and interactions with others, nobody wants to be wrong – we all desire to be right. But sometimes, there is a difference between being right, and doing right. A true martial spirit perseveres in applying strength and courage to do the right thing whenever possible
